How important is a capture page?

Have you ever though of it. You may have the best content in the world and you may get loads of traffic into your website. Now what do you do with that traffic?

People will keep visiting your website if you have good content. But if you really want to earn income using your website you need to learn to funnel the traffic of people visiting.

How do you funnel traffic?

It can get very complicated when you try to do too many things at the same time. Follow the steps below to funnel the traffic you get.

1. Sign up for google analytics or Open web analytics to check which page or post gets the most visitors. Once you know your most visited pages then you do the next step.
2. Pick a product relevant to the page or post. For example if your page talks about a particular book then check if you can sell that book for a commission. Browse through amazon, clickbank or any online stores which enables you to sell a book for commission.
3. Create a Capture page. Let them opt in with their email if they wish to know more about the book you are selling. Make a compelling video and sell it. You may not be able to sell it to anyone but you would definitely start making money and you would start making a email list of your customers for future sales.
